Confirmed from Schaefer County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a playground and trails, plus picnic tables, a river and various sport fields for recreation.
What runners say about Schaefer County Park
“Super clean park with various activities and it's right on the river!”
“Beautiful park, we didnt explore a whole lot but the playground was fun, there's covered areas with bench seats/tables, and not too crowded.”
“Also, shallow, pretty calm areas .”
We found this hidden gem today and had a really fun time exploring the nearby woods and splashing in the shallows. A really idyllic spot with tons of space for running around, picnic tables and shelters, large parking lot, picturesque bridge. It is also a float tube launching point.
Super clean park with various activities and it's right on the river! Disc golf course! Multiple trails and river access I could imagine this place packed during the summer. Wanting to go back and see the trails I didn't have time for. This is a very good park to visit!
Great beatiful and secluded park with trails, river access, parking lot basketball, volleyball court, 3 playground areas, so many places to walk, picnic, sit, or play. The restroom is the next thing to need an update there, the handicapped stall would not be sufficient for actual wheel chair use.
Some good open space and some nicely placed picnic tables. They have a volleyball net , with sand. The dog loved playing in the water and we took a little walk on the other side of the bridge.
