Very nice hiking trail! My friend and I were here with our dogs when it was nice out recently, and we really enjoyed the trail! There are lots to explore and see on trail. The trail was very clean and easy to navigate through. Lots of trees offering shade as well!
Some of the trails lead off to open woods. We had to use maps to get back to the trail. But it’s pretty here and it’s fun to walk along the river!
Area is nice year round, easy access to the Desplaines River Trail for walking, biking, hiking and in the winter cross country skiing. A large portion of the area is no mow which makes it great for wildlife but not for picnics.
