Confirmed from Schoen Laufen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Easy walking paths in this small piece of natural area in Germantown.”

Nice trees, plants, wildlife, well groomed gravel trails. It feels like you're walking in the woods but you're still in a residential neighborhood. Has a pavilion and picnic tables. Also has a Port-A-Pottie if needed.

★★★★★ — Constance , Apr 2021

Easy walking paths in this small piece of natural area in Germantown. A local Girl Scout troup has down a top-notch job of labeling both native and invasive species.

★★★★★ — Susan , Jan 2023

Peaceful, gravel paths and a small stream. Very nice for a lunch picnic

★★★★★ — James , May 2025

Nice gravel walking trail with benches along the trail. Takes 15-20 minutes to walk it depending on your pace. Covered pavilion with picnic tables to eat at

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
