Confirmed from Schoen Laufen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picnic tables, gravel trails, and a river are featured at this kid-friendly park.
What runners say about Schoen Laufen Park
“It’s a small park, but it has lots of beautiful areas — especially the scenic Menomonee River that gently runs through it.”
“Lovely, flat and easy trail, mostly in shade--we walked loop twice.”
“We especially like coming here to relax on a bench next to the flowing waters in quiet contemplation.”
“Easy walking paths in this small piece of natural area in Germantown.”
Nice trees, plants, wildlife, well groomed gravel trails. It feels like you're walking in the woods but you're still in a residential neighborhood. Has a pavilion and picnic tables. Also has a Port-A-Pottie if needed.
Easy walking paths in this small piece of natural area in Germantown. A local Girl Scout troup has down a top-notch job of labeling both native and invasive species.
Peaceful, gravel paths and a small stream. Very nice for a lunch picnic
Nice gravel walking trail with benches along the trail. Takes 15-20 minutes to walk it depending on your pace. Covered pavilion with picnic tables to eat at

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
