Confirmed from Scioto Audubon Metro Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Bird habitats plus hiking, fishing, volleyball, dog parks & a climbing wall on 120 riverside acres.
What runners say about Scioto Audubon Metro Park
“Park is always clean and has easy access to bicycle trails.”
“There is a beautiful pond area as well with gorgeous plant life all around it.”
Great Park. Plenty to do. Plenty to see a nature walk trail Pontiac activities climbing wall, a high tower where you can oversee the city of Columbus downtown sitting areas. Plenty bathrooms. Restrooms shelter plenty shelters that you can sit under. You can drive to you. Don't have to walk is real close.
Just moved from Kentucky, was low on money, bored and needed something to do. I’ve rock climbed a little over a year but the memberships to the bouldering gyms are quite expensive here, I’m able to get my climbing done here for free & enjoy sand volleyball, slack lining, walks and the kiddos have a park as well.
Beautiful park with nice walking trails. First time I've been and definitely going back. Have an amazing looking rock climbing wall. Looks like you have to bring your own equipment to do, to be safe, but not 100% sure. Very clean also.
Beautiful park. The rock climbing wall is pretty nice, a pond for fishing, playground for kids. Very clean and taken care of. The water tower has a nice platform to climb up with benches to sit and enjoy the view. There is always something going on, with still plenty of parking.

“They are all close together with 2 water fountains provided for the dogs!”
“There is always something going on, with still plenty of parking.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
