Confirmed from Scoggins Valley Park/Henry Hagg Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Scoggins Valley Park/Henry Hagg Lake
Park office is a bit of a challenge to find. Follow the paved driveway past the first batch of garages. Look for the sign. It is behind in a mobile building. Staff was friendly and helpful. No printed maps. There is a QR code to scan to get a map on your phone if you have a smart phone.
I love this lake year around! The Rangers care for this place like it was their home and are so approachable. The trails are constantly being maintained which is amazing to experience year round. We have a jewel hidden here and they just keep making it better every year. Thank you!
Beautiful lake and trails! Lots of water sports and fishing. I gave it only 4 stars because in my opinion, the venues are very expensive to rent.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
