Confirmed from Scott’s Run Hiking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Scott’s Run Hiking Trail
Nice trail down to deserted river views. Suggest going straight in (vs taking a trail that goes around the periphery of the park) to avoid highway sounds. Trail directly back from the small waterfall is SUPER rocky, but less direct trails back are easy.
Nice little park with a good mix of trails. The main trail (yellow) is wide and fairly smooth, and it'll take you to the lookout in around twenty minutes. The side trails are narrow but still fairly easy to walk, only problem is in a couple of those side trails you do end up walking into a spider web every once in a…
Great trail system with multiple river access points. The parking lots fill up quickly on weekends, but due to their limited size, very few people on trail which makes for a wonderful experience with only nature sounds.
The outer loop is a fun 3 mile hike featuring some adventurous sections but mostly a nice walk with some nice views of the river
