Confirmed from Scoville Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Small park with a grassy meadow, fountain, tennis courts & playground, plus a summer concert series.

What runners say about Scoville Park

well-maintained 8 mentions

“The tennis courts are great for older children, teens and adults, and there are clean restrooms adjacent to the playground.”

Scoville Park is conveniently located next to the Oak Park Main library. We often take the kids to the playground after we check out books at the library. It is a very pretty, small park with walking paths, open spaces and several seating areas.

I’ve never attended a concert here but i walk the park and relax in the large grass field. It is a very well kept park right beside a fantastic library. Great place very young children to play, lots of room to run. There is enough room you get a few kids playing sports but no full on games.

★★★★★ — Keith , Feb 2024

Scoville Park is the coolest corner in downtown Oak Park by the Lake and Oak Park Ave. it has walking and running tracks, library, seating chairs, corner cafes! It holds seasonal events and concerts throughout the year!

★★★★★ — Hassan , Oct 2019

Nice Park with ample green space for the little ones to run and play. The playground is beautiful, a bit small but perfect for kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
