Confirmed from Seal Point's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering multiple paths, bay views, and birdwatching opportunities.
What runners say about Seal Point
“great views of the bay, nice park for kids to run around and a good starting point for biking the wonderful bay trail”
It’s a great walk. There are 3 different paths to choose from. You can walk along the Bay. There are many different types of birds 🦅. In a clear day you can see San Francisco downtown clearly.
Great for walking your dog. Nice and clean. It is built on top of an old dump, but you will not notice that at all.
I love walking here almost every day. Great to be by the water and hills full of flowers. It often, however, can be quite windy and cold, even in the spring. Great place to walk your dog, ride your bike or push your kids in a stroller. Often you can spot various water fowl (ducks, egrets, heron, etc.).
This is a nice place to go for a walk or as part of a jog. They have a huge dog run area, with separate section for smaller dogs.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
