Confirmed from Seneca Ridge Trail at Riffle Ford Road's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

NICE NICE NICE! Came on a warm May Saturday and there were 7 cars in the parking lot and in the street, atleast 5 people were fishing and the rest likely on the trail. I took the Ridge trail to Germantown road (no side walk/crossing) and walked up the road to the Seneca Creek Greenway and walked back against the creek.

The segment east of Riffle Ford is very nice. Well maintained, lots of shade and ferns. Google Maps is not 100% accurate on the trail though. There is trail all the way back to Riffle Ford so that is a great loop to do if you have an hour or so.

Great place to hike/bike! Parking is convenient and trail connects to Clopper lake and Schaefer farms. Well maintained mountain bike trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
