Confirmed from Shaw Park - Round Lake Area Park District's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park featuring playground equipment, a basketball court, and a walking track.
What runners say about Shaw Park - Round Lake Area Park District
“Love this park it's clean , small , and plenty to do .”
Great park for 1 to 10year old kids. Has a small house to sit down when it's sunny. A path for parents to walk and two separate playground equipment for the children. Also, a small rock climbing wall and plastic tree stumps to climb up.
I actually live on this street. The park is lovely and the kids that visit from this street are well behaved. I bring my daughter there. There is also a half basketball court and a track to power walk, run or bring your dog for some exercise. Parking is free and fairly spacious. I believe it closes at dusk.
Sturdy playground, with exercise stations for those less play oriented (like adults). Well-maintained amd looks nice. Only note i have is lack of water fountains. PS. Pokéstops aplenty here and on the trail that starts down the road.
I take my kids here often and they have so much fun! I kove how the space is so open and they have a nice shade area with benches.

“Also a small gravel track with different exercise activities along the way.”
