Confirmed from Shaw Wetland & Vernal Pool's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“It’s quiet and peaceful, but you get to hear a lot of wild life sounds and often spot little critters, squirrels, mice, bunnies, skunks, dragon flies, frogs.”

Beautiful place, even in the winter. City workers cleaning up while I was walking early this morning. Peaceful, no one there early in the morning.

Nice place to go and see nature on your lunch break if you work nearby. There is a bike path that is right next to this as well.

★★★★★ — Elizabeth , Sep 2022

Very pretty little boardwalk and trail. It's about 1/3 of a mile total, so very easy walk. They have a storybook part of the trail currently about frogs which is adorable. Not a lot of water currently since the weather has been quite warm.

I love the wetlands! My family and I have spent many happy hours here walking or bike riding. It’s quiet and peaceful, but you get to hear a lot of wild life sounds and often spot little critters, squirrels, mice, bunnies, skunks, dragon flies, frogs. Really fun for the kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
