Confirmed from Shawnee Trail Frisco Texas' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-approved locale featuring playgrounds to ballfields and volleyball courts.
What runners say about Shawnee Trail Frisco Texas
“Two tennis courts in great condition, playscape, two sand volleyball courts, covered basketball court, baseball fields, small garden area with picnic tables.”
Use this Park all the time. If you enjoy running, the trail is 0.7 miles long, and if you jog 1 mile east down college Parkway, you can hit the college Parkway trail which is another 2 miles long or so. Playground, 2 tennis courts, 4 lined (no net) pickle ball courts and 4 softball/baseball fields. All have lights.
Parking when events might mean a bot of a walk but other than that 5 stars
Trail conditions & character
“Parking when events might mean a bot of a walk but other than that 5 stars”
“4 stars because our field lights completely turned off and postponed the game for about 15-20min, and it was cold that night.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
