Confirmed from Shenantaha Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very simple basic park with decent parking, picnicing and activities. Great place for a toddler or a small walk/bike ride.

This park is very clean. There’s plenty of pavilions and benches to gather in. It’s very peaceful here even with others around. There is a nice paved trail. Highly recommend coming here just to get outside and get some fresh air.

★★★★★ — Adam , May 2020

While I did not check out the trail and creek yet I wanted to say my toddler had a great time walking around in the grass- such a wide space for her to explore as a new walker. She enjoyed the baby swings too.

★★★★★ — Monroe , May 2025

This is a well-enjoyed park with facilities for a variety of recreation. I usually only ride by on the Zim trail, but decided to wander a bit. Pretty expansive with disc-golf, tennis courts, picnic area, jungle gym, sports field and a utility building which I believe has rest rooms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 6 mentions

“Went in the morning on a weekday with my dog, walked him up and down the rail trail (dogs aren’t allowed in the main park area per signage).”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
