Confirmed from Shirlene Mercer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Shirlene Mercer Park
“This is a beautiful, clean, and historic park dedicated in Memory of the Honorable Shirlene Mercer.”
I love this city park! A beautiful paved trail with some nice workout machines, beautiful bird friendly trees! Peaceful with some distant traffic noice. Very educational historical monument of some if Jackson's community leaders.
Beautiful park that is made for walking, relaxing, and reflecting. Walking trails are marked to give you reference for how far you have walked.
This is a nice park with a great walking trail. Not a lot of amenities - wish we could get some bathrooms. A couple of art installations have been added recently which is cool. Picnic tables, a water fountain, and more benches have also been added to go along with the gazebo.
This is a beautiful, clean, and historic park dedicated in Memory of the Honorable Shirlene Mercer. There is a mile walking path around the park with exercise equipment built into it. While walking you're able to also stop and learn the history of some of Jackson TN founding pioneers who paved the way for you and me!
