Confirmed from Cypress Grove Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Destination for quiet walks through dense woodlands, with lake views & birds-of-prey sightings.
What runners say about Cypress Grove Nature Park
“The birds of prey are a beautiful addition to this boardwalk.”
“Very serene boardwalk with very light traffic background noise.”
They have completed repairs on the main boardwalk! I enjoy walking at Cypress Park. It's quiet, and normally there's hardly any people there. There are benches along the path as well as two gazebos. There is an area that showcases various large birds, including eagles and owls. There is a lookout with a nice view.
What a great visit even though it was chilly out. A few raptors in the cages, but I suppose 54゚ isn't too cold for them? The walk was a great way to spend an hour this afternoon exploring the place. Can't believe it's free! Very nice!
Great place for a little nature walk. The birds of prey are a beautiful addition to this boardwalk. Seems as though they are replacing lots of boards as well.
Decently sized nature park. Very serene boardwalk with very light traffic background noise. It includes birds of prey trail loop. There is a current list of birds on hand displayed. There is a lake with turtles, snakes, and other wildlife. I definitely recommend it. Pets are not allowed on the boardwalk.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
