Confirmed from Shoolman Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“I bring my 20 month old son with me everywhere I go, and in my opinion this is a great place to walk with all ages.”
Beautiful place for walking, could hear so many different bird sounds. Lots of ferns and green areas.
I'm the type of person that likes trails in the woods. I love having nature all around me. This is a great trail! I bring my 20 month old son with me everywhere I go, and in my opinion this is a great place to walk with all ages. It's stroller accessible and they clear the path of any degree
It is a very beautiful hike. I believe it is 2 to 3 miles long but the scenery is stunning. It is quite too not many people out especially during the week days. I highly recommend coming here for a walk. If you ever come here, you will not be disappointed. Have a happy and healthy walk!

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
