Confirmed from Tripps Mill's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tripps Mill
“Clean path and interesting water features.”
Beautiful trails, Well maintained, Fairly long trails, Mosquito population density is fairly high a Deet based bug-spray is recommended (anything w/o Deet just does not seem to work) even at non-peak mosquito hours. It’s rather a calming experience and a joy to see other people enjoying nature on the trails as well.
Peaceful woodland trails with small pond and little brooks and rivers. If you are lucky you may see some turtles frogs fish geese or other local wildlife. Connects to "the bogs" trailhead great to walk to the bogs to see the ospreys.
Always love it here. My home away from home. Great place for quickie mountain bike ride, hike or dog walk, hunting and fishing too.
Fun walk for family’s, couples, or doggy parents. Clean path and interesting water features.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
