Confirmed from Sloan Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiker-friendly, wetlands/creek area, and forest destination, featuring a range of landscapes.

Interesting hiking spot. It is good if you like short hikes. There are a few different loops that are .4 miles each. One is a “flood plain” loop, which I imagine after much rainfall, is unable to be walked. There are some benches to sit on and enjoy the woods.
Beautiful little nature preserve with a bit of everything. Conifer & deciduous trees, a creek and small ponds, swamps & fens, open field areas and upland forest. Maintained footpaths (not paved) and a dirt parkinglot right off the roadside.
Trail conditions & character
“There is a bench overlooking the dry creek bed about 3/4 way down the path.”
“Long runs are pretty easy, but watch for tree roots and clutter.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
