Confirmed from Hudson Mills Metropark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Great place to walk and run, with much of the path beside the river!”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Easy trails with scenic river views.”

There was one nicer playground for young kids by the activity center and some beautiful areas to walk by the river. No real hiking trails but a nicely maintained hiking/biking path. Not as big as Lower Huron or Kensington Metroparks but pretty decently sized. A bit hilly for running but overall a pretty park.

As close to a perfect park as you can get. Our last trip out we played disc golf for a couple hours, went to river and had lunch, then kayaked for a couple hours. There are lots of picnic tables, grills, and tons of benches to make lunch great.

One of my favorite parks. My family has been visiting Hudson Mills since I was young. We used to come every Sunday and my dad would play basketball with his friends. Lots of good memories! Now my husband and I have the yearly metropark pass and we bring our golden retriever here all the time!

Great park for all ages. There's a petting zoo and farm area; lots of water for all sorts of water activities; lots of bike/hiking paths; a golf course. A fun experience for kids of all ages is that all sorts of birds will land on your hands for peanuts or sunflower seeds.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
