Confirmed from Smith Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Love Smith Park! It's never as busy as Porter Park which is really refreshing sometimes. The paved path that goes around the park and past the veterans memorial has a lot of shaded areas with big trees along the path. In the spring and early summer there are usually multiple kids baseball games going on.

★★★★★ — A. , Jun 2023

Smith Park is great for running and walking. They have a paved path that goes all the way around. I also love all the playground equipment, the activity around, and how safe it feels. The grass always looks very clean and well kept. If you’re looking for a place less busy than Porter Park, this place is the right one.

★★★★★ — Phoebe , Apr 2024

Smith Park has Tennis Pickle Ball and Basketball courts, swings, slides and an in the ground merry-go-round. There are two ball diamonds, a gazebo, and picnic tables, with a paved walking trail surrounding the whole park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“Public bathrooms are locked at night and usually the drinking fountain near the bathrooms don't work.”

  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
