Confirmed from Smolenski Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a pavilion, ball field, playground, restrooms, and picnic areas, plus trails.
What runners say about Smolenski Park
“Beautiful, quiet, big playground, well kept- the perfect setting for a family party or church picnic.”
“Easy parking, easy walk to the picnic area.”
Just discovered this park the walking trails are in a pine forest. Beautiful 😍
Decent well maintained trails, pretty flat terrain but many thick roots across some of the paths, so watch your step. Lots or opportunities to see wildlife, such as turkeys, deer, a ton of owls, and geese. I've seen lots of bird watchers at this park, so if that's your thing this might be a great spot for you.
Love this park bc it’s wide open but surrounded by trees. It has a beautiful shelter with picnic tables that is almost always open for use. It is a good playground option for parents with little kids who still need a lot of help bc there are a few different sized play grounds all close to each other.
Absolutely beautiful my little men enjoyed the trails and parks to the fullest
Trail conditions & character
“Beautiful, quiet, big playground, well kept- the perfect setting for a family party or church picnic.”
“Even when the parking lot is nearly full, the visitors seem to stick mostly to the playground and pavilion, so I've usually had the trails to myself.”
“There are swings, a large Pavillion with a lot of tables, and a restroom.”
“They also added a paved trail for walking/biking that connects to the trail at Campus Park.”
“The trails are wide, however little ones or anyone with difficulty walking may have a harder time due to tree roots in the path.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
