Confirmed from River Bend Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature-focused spot boasting scenic trails, kid-friendly activities and maple syrup-making exhibits.
What runners say about River Bend Nature Center
“Tucked back in a beautiful forestry area on the bank of Root River… they have done wonderful things to keep this Gem alive throughout the years.”
“The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful, and everything came together seamlessly.”
Beautiful park with lots of nice hiking trails. Cool nature center aswell. Only downside is they dont allow dogs.
I love this place. It’s such a neat area that lets you enjoy Nature’s Beauty.. and when I’m here, I totally forget that I am in the middle of a city. Tucked back in a beautiful forestry area on the bank of Root River… they have done wonderful things to keep this Gem alive throughout the years.
I grew up in the neighborhood that borders this place. We used to catch frogs and turtles in the pond, or just go for a walk. My cousin got married here at the lodge recently. It was an amazing night, but bittersweet as my grandmother’s funeral was also at this same lodge.
The recent Candlelight Hike was a really nice experience for our family! We always enjoy spending time on the trails at River Bend.
