Confirmed from Smooth Canyon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Smooth Canyon Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (80 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Great place to go running or take your dogs, not crowded at all”

Nice park I've been limited on the parking but there's a church across the street with plenty of parking available so not a big deal. Lots of open green field and most of it is set aside for soccer. Has a paved walking path around the outside that many people use to jog or walk their dogs.

★★★★☆ — Rob , Sep 2019

Played adult coed soccer this morning here and had a great time. The field was in decent shape with a spots drying out, but a great path around the field for the kids to ride bikes and scooters on.

★★★★★ — Janson , Jun 2021

Super gorgeous backdrop as it's right up against the mountain. 4 individual bathrooms, handicap parking, a paved path around 2 soccer fields. The fields are a little close to the path though.

★★★★★ — Jennie , Oct 2021

2 great soccer fields and a walking path. Lots of parking at a nearby church.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
