Came here a few times with the GF. The park has not once disappointed, even though the one time we got caught in a rainstorm. The trails are fun, and there are quite a few of them. I recommend coupling your experience with the AllTrails app. Yes, you get service out here if you have AT&T.
Great place for a hike, with some nice overlooks. If hiking with children, keep them close on overlooks, as they do not have barriers and it's a long way down. Update 2/11/23: Excellent day for a hike at Snake Hill. I recommend downloading the the alltrails app and the trails map for Snake Hill, before getting there.
Lots of hiking trails and little fields. This place is beautiful. There's an overlook along the main train that had a view of Cooper's Rock and Cheat Lake. This place is a hidden gem, I loved it here. I can't wait to hike the rest of the trails. I got to see frogs, salamanders, and lots of wildflowers
Quiet, remote, yet close to Morgantown. A better way to see the Cheat River without the crowds. Far more seclusion. Trails not marked well so plan your hikes ahead of time. Fun to wander and explore.
