Confirmed from Somerset Lake Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Somerset Lake Nature Park
“Somerset Lake Nature Park is a beautiful little place on the side of road, nice to stop by here and check out the brand new dam that looks like it's only a year old or so.”
On a Sunday: Beautiful scenery. Nice walking trail, 80% shaded, but a section is under construction. You have to hop onto the road for about 10% of the trail. It took me 1:40 to walk around the whole lake. The Yak Shak has kayaks for rent.
We stopped to stretch our legs and eat lunch. There is no picnic table but a nice area to run and play.
A hidden gem! There are exciting new trails in the works that people should support if they can!
Somerset Lake Nature Park is a beautiful little place on the side of road, nice to stop by here and check out the brand new dam that looks like it's only a year old or so. Lots of area to walk around, possibly do some fishing too or have a picnic. At the other side of the dam is a maintenance building for the park.
