Confirmed from South Adobe Creek Loop Trailhead (Palo Alto)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful trail to run, bike or walk.”

Nice trails for hiking and biking, can watch migratory birds, must see location for bird watchers

★★★★★ — Ajith , Jun 2022

One of my favorite trails in the Bay Area. The sunset is always beautiful. Houses a lot of birds and other wildlife. Dog friendly trail, please keep them leashed! Also bike friendly. Great views of the East Bay mountains and good spots to watch the rising Moon.

★★★★★ — Zsuzsanna , May 2025

It’s a nice place to watch ducks, American goldfinch, geese, shorebirds eating clams and good place to run 2 miles /10 miles whatever. If the waterways are dry it could be a bit smelly.

★★★★☆ — Prawnsalad1991 , Dec 2024

Nice place to walk the path is wide enough for both lanes and bicycles are allow so best for checking out life on the baylands

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
