Confirmed from South Brohard Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a beach with shark teeth, a boardwalk, and restrooms.
What runners say about South Brohard Park
“South Brohard Beach is a beautiful and popular place for a walk, a swim, or a little shark-tooth hunting.”
Parking fills up fast. Shower on far side of parking area as well as restrooms. Boardwalk leads down to the beach. Found hundreds of sharks teeth! Dog park before you get there for those interested. With additional parking across the street.
This is a great Park, the south end is with out dogs and have to walk with your dog leashed while going north to the dog off leash space past the flags. There is a cat walk through the mangroves to get to the beach.
Nice beach close to the Venice Pier, it is right next to the paw park. People do walk their dogs down the beach but most are on leash. Plenty of parking and a nice boardwalk to get to the beach. A good choice when Caspersen Beach was totally full. I did find a few shark teeth which is a plus!
Nice morning walk. Found some shark teeth. Went out on the pier at Sharky’s also. We are going back this week!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
