Confirmed from South Kitsap Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“You can easily get lost in nature here and it's also family friendly and not overcrowded.”

05/20/23: we all love nature and honestly I am a big nature lover. I could find almost anything in this beautiful and spacious park. There are huge parking spots, tons of playgrounds, picnic tables/ benches, skateboard grounds, and even a big, fun explorer trail.

Love this park! It's close to home. I go walking here almost everyday. I paint rocks and hid them in the park and around the playground.

★★★★★ — Carrie , Jul 2023

I have been going to this park for years & i have taken my son on to this park since he was a toddler. It has just improved over the years. My family has a few different favorite local parks that we enjoy on a regular basis & this is one of them. I love the Surrounding nature of this park & it's beautiful.

A nice park. Has lots of easier hiking and scenic trails. Also large grass filed for an arrangement of sports. A batting cage and a concrete skatepark. Also a large playground for children of all ages. But best of all a miniature train that you can ride Round the park on certain days

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 10 mentions

“Such a great place to take your dog on a walk , as everyone that was walking our playing had leashes on our on them and the dogs having fun.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
