Confirmed from Southerly Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed green space featuring walking paths, outdoor exercise equipment and a lake.
What runners say about Southerly Park
“Beautiful green space, has nice outdoor gym”
“Always a great place for a quiet walk and if you play Pokémon Go it's an awesome stop.”
Always a great place for a quiet walk and if you play Pokémon Go it's an awesome stop.
Nice park area that connects to the other parks in Shaker Heights and to Woodbury ES. It has a long walking/biking trail, an exercise area, and the creek running through the park is a favorite nature/adventure spot for kids and families. One of the places that makes Shaker great.
A favorite spot for a short walk with the kids. Also an exercise station along the way for adults. It's close to home, but there is much to explore! If you're looking for more exploration, just cross Shaker Boulevard and visit the Nature Center.
It's small, but nice enough to sit or walk around and relax. Just off the main road, that is convenient. New were being planted this day. So you that they are keeping the park up.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
