It was a “cool” (December 2024) Saturday morning hike in the woods, joining GWLT’s Treasurer Frank Callahan as our group leader. We parked at the end of Walbridge Road in Paxton, then did the Southwick Pond path with the connector trail on the way back. #hikeworcester
A beautiful hiking trail year-round. Nice variety of flat and hilly sections. And generally quiet, except for this time of year when the leaves under foot provide a steady crunch!
Nice walk. Not much elevation some small hills.. There was no beaver damn.
Rustic setting around the pond. No indoor plumbing. Limited parking in front of the gate. Check hike Worcester or GWLT websites for more info about this protected property.
