Confirmed from Sparger Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sparger Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (295 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“There's a well-maintained cement walking path lined with all species of trees and it follows a creek.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“No real shade on the playground and the Pavillion isnt close enough to sit at if you've got kids you need to keep an eye on.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Sparger is a great park for people of all ages and interests.”

The sidewalk that extends through the greenbelt and out to Cheek Sparger rd is a 2 mile loop. The whole thing is paved and I've never had to worry about puddles too large to get around.

★★★★★ — Samuel , Oct 2020

Has soft floor, not mulch which is amazing. There's a toddler section and a bigger kids structure. There's a lot my 5 year old can't do yet as the structure is more about climbing, not connected walkways and slides. There are bathrooms if you need them.

★★★★☆ — Chevi , Aug 2022

Sparger Park has a sort of rustic charm to it. I went there this past Sunday and it was so sunny and a nice breeze with people walking around the park, kids on the swings and others picnicking as I read my books and did my Sudoku; It's one of my secret getaway spots

Nice for short walks...had 2 Restrooms, play ground, covered group area and sidewalk trails...and a Memorial near the North Parking area..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 8 mentions

“had 2 Restrooms, play ground, covered group area and sidewalk trails.”
