Confirmed from Spencer Park and Beach's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park offering a playground, picnic areas, a sand beach, tennis and volleyball courts.
What runners say about Spencer Park and Beach
“First Impressions: fun atmosphere, clean, happy, joyful, relaxing, pleasant scenery, super safe 2nd Impression: will and would take my kids, godchildren, & friends here.”
Good atmosphere with boating and walking space, children's can play in the play area, had paid shelters for any party kind of activities and got rochester area people the entry fee is less, pleasant atmosphere
Very nice place for walk, thanks for this place, I love it!!👍🏼 Just careful with the lake and kids
Beautiful place for walking. One mile around the lake nice scenery and clean walkways highly recommend
I guess the swimming ends in September. Lots of staff on site. Four regular swings, 2 baby swings and two accessible swings along with a saucer swing. Much less busy than innovation hills. Looks like there is a trail around the lake with lots of people riding bikes.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
