Stage Nature Center in Troy, Michigan, is a peaceful and welcoming place where visitors of all ages can connect with nature through scenic trails, engaging exhibits, and educational programs that highlight the area’s local wildlife and ecosystems.
Very well-kept grounds and a variety of trails though the woods - some wooden bridges, some compact dirt, some wood chips. Rouge River runs through for a nice natural water source. There are plenty of benches along the trails so you're never without the option to sit for too long.
First time here, and we LOVED IT! There is so much to do, you could easily spend the day here. There are giant climbing rocks right outside the entrance to the building (I didn't get a pic but the kids climbed for 30 min! My 10 year old wished she had worn tennis shoes, not flip flops). Then we entered the building.
Nice building for learning about nature. They have a ton of activities for outdoor learning. Excellent, short trails that cross Rouge River in a few locations. Small to medium grade on some of the trails. Saw 5 bucks in a fairly dense part of the woods on one of the boardwalks!
