What runners say about Start Trail Ride - Contra Costa Canal Trail
The beginning, or the end of, the trail. The trail is pretty good, other than crossing Crayton Road, you need to wait for a while, otherwise pretty good. I love it.
A very nice bike ride. The western end has some step little hills but eastern in is flatter.
The trail starts at Willow Pass Road, which can be a very busy cross street with lots of vehicle traffic. This eastern edge of the Canal Trail is surrounded by homes and is across the street from the Marine Reserve Center.
One of our favorite trails. We take it all the way from Martinez to Concord there are many trails that we can view off to like Iron house, Ygnatio canal ..
