Confirmed from Stevens Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park offering a dog run plus a baseball field that's home to local Little League games.
What runners say about Stevens Park
“Nice and clean with plenty of people around.”
“This dog park tends to be very calm and will never usually have more than 4ish dogs at a time so it's nice and peaceful if you want to relax a bit while your dog plays.”
“I like to walk my dog here.”
Excellent dog park for small to medium sized dogs so they have plenty of room to run around. The free shovel and poop bags are a great addition for cleanup as well. The dog park is also equipped with a nice double door system entry and exit with solid latches so you don't have to worry about any escapees.
A great public park for everyone to relax and have a picnic or walk your dog in the dog park. It’s right near the water front where all the restaurants along Sinatra and the little league field, plenty of sight seeing, there is no bathroom in this park but there is up by the little league field, when there’s baseball…
For me the park is a handy place to cross when I walk from the Hoboken PATH station to Stevens Tech. River Street empties right into the park. There is also a little league field here which I have reviewed separately as a site within the park
Great park on its own. Giving it four stars because there is a better park just five minutes walk from the spot with respect to activities for kids. This park does have some views of the Hudson river

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
