Such a great place for hiking. Paths around Bruges Pond are a bit rooty but beautiful. And at 7 am there are a few people but most of the walk you're on your own and can enjoy the birds, the frogs and the silence. Plenty of parking, and most hikers are wearing masks.
Visited this place during different seasons and each one presents its own beauty. Amazing place for a walk during warm months and the perfect place for snowshoeing during the winter. We also attended to group outings/activities and had a lot of fun. One of the few State Parks you can let your dog off leash.
This conservation area is also home to two summer camps. Two of the main trails are actually rough roads to the camps. This part is easy walking. The other trails in the area are typical walking/hiking trails. There is a nice looped trail that passes by both camps and travels around Bruges Pond.
Nice place. There is a camp located in the center. I am not sure what it would be like when camp is in operation. Trails are marked, but some of the intersections are a little confusing and not always marked well. Trails are narrow and some have lots of roots. A good mix of small ups and downs.
