Confirmed from Suffolk Seaboard Coastline Trail Pughsville Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a beautiful little trail with some nice scenery. It's not very long and is a little close to a residential area, but other than that it provides a nice little walk in nature.

Rode the main part of the trail today by bike. Paved trail through wooded areas, back of neighborhoods and along side of fields. I enjoyed the casual ride. Others on the trail were running, walking, several strollers as well. Would highly recommend.

★★★★★ — Stephanie , Nov 2021

Per my GPS, this was 7 miles round trip from end to end. It’s shaded about 50% to 60% depending on time of day. The path is straight with no elevation and paved. Porta potty at each end.

★★★★☆ — Steven , Aug 2024

I really like this trail! It’s good for walking, running, or biking. I took my friend’s dog there for a nice walk and I was impressed. It was well kept, very clean, and easy to find. If you’re walking it’s about a half an hour (probably less) to walk from the trailhead to the road and back.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
