We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Sulphur Springs Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sulphur Springs Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (8 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The trail is the best one in Paris Mountain State Park. It follows the creek all the way up the mountain. Also leads to a hidden lake.

We always enjoy this trail. We do it backwards to how most hike it, I think. We start off across the road from the parking lot and head down first. This takes you down to the road low-point, then back up past the old reservoir and creek.

Not a great view from the top but the hikers only trail is adventurous

★★★★☆ — Shrey , Mar 2025

We combined two bikes into a larger loop which was amazing. Not crowded, great trails and good views. There are plenty of places to picnic and stop off the trail. Lots of roots and rocks so be careful of your step!
