Confirmed from Paris Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“Not too difficult, maintained well, nice parking, and clearly marked and mapped out.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“We had a peaceful day and thoroughly enjoyed it, I highly recommend you take a trip to Paris Mountain Park!”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 4 mentions

“The entire park is dog friendly which is really nice also.”

We have enjoyed this park on several recent occasions. My interests (as you can see form the photos) is mainly on nature and finding trails more or less secluded. But this is also a great place for outings for friends and family. There are a number of well-maintained trails. Signage is pretty good as well.

Admission is $6 per person, there was an employee working at the entrance so it is possible to pay via card. The employee working inside the office in the park was helpful and friendly when choosing a trail. The lake was beautiful and calm.

I went to Paris Mountain State Park for the first time today and I had such a wonderful relaxing day! It's location is great, only about 20 minutes from downtown Greenville. It cost $6.00 per person, so affordable and we found a parking spot easily.

We traveled through the state park on the weekend of October 18th. The drive through was amazing, so much beauty in there. Where are the roads are posted 15 miles per hour, do that. LOL You don't want to miss a scenic view, but you also do not want to drive off the road and down hundreds of feet into the trees below.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
