We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Sunny Hollow Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sunny Hollow Trails
“Nice well maintained trails by fellowship of the wheel.”
“The couple times I have been it has also been really quiet, which is a nice change.”
Great trail for a good run in a pretty location. Parking is good and I ran the trail with no issues. Bikers were out there as well but had plenty of visibility to see or hear before they got to you.
Wonderful trail system. Super quiet and lots of good challenges. Loved the over all holike. A lot of trail systems with a lot of calm paths. Some hills can be troubling but others are super easy. A lot of water falls on one end which was a surprise.
Went here for an outdoor walk for the first time. Nice well maintained trails by fellowship of the wheel. Limited parking. Definitely coming back with my mountain bike. Don’t forget your bug spray!
Sunny hollow is a great intro to mountain biking as well as a go-to spot for quick local laps. Varied terrain has something for all levels though it is a series of shorter loops and not an all day ride. Use caution as most trails are two way traffic and on dry days corners can be a bit sandy/loose.
Trail conditions & character
“I always love walking the dogs here but you need to be sure to watch your dogs carefully if unleashed so they don't get in the way of the bikers.”
“But beware the ticks in summer and the small parking lot gets pretty busy.”
“Multiple options to run for bigger hills or flatter terrain about 3 miles in diameter but if you crisscross can be much much longer.”
“The couple times I have been it has also been really quiet, which is a nice change.”
“Mostly really mellow and flat with just a couple of really gnarly spots.”
