This area is so nice in the summer! Great hiking trails, peaceful nature, yes there are bugs…they live there too. We went specifically to “Greet the Goats”. This is a really neat community project organized by the Keweenaw invasive species management agency and others.
Not a place to overlook. Great trails to pair with a day partially spent at copper or completely on its own! Surprising amount of trails here could keep you busy for hours. Also the roots will challenge you on the uphills.
