Confirmed from Sweet Arrow Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

My way better half & I decided to take our 1st hike of the year today at Bellbrook Sugarcreek Sweet Arrow Reserve. We really didn’t have a choice with as beautiful as it was outside today! When we hit the trail it was 81°, sunny & the wildlife was out in full effect.

The trails thru this reserve are beautiful. (So many options of trail length too) Winding thru the trees, along the water, up a hill down a hill. You will love it! It's a very popular place for walking or running.

Went here for about 4.5 miles of hiking. It was a little confusing to follow the trails I wish I had brought a map. Had a good time walking through the prairie and wooded areas though I skipped one of the prairie trails that ran adjacent to the road.

I’ve lived in the Dayton area a long time. As an avid hiker I thought I had visited the best of what montgomery county had to offer. Boy was I wrong. This is one of the nicest parks i’ve visited in a while. It’s well maintained and the trails go on forever. Can’t wait to see it in the fall!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
