Confirmed from Iron Horse Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“It has access to a shaded bike path, a playground, soccer fields, baseball field, and restrooms.”

What a great park! It's so underrated. It has access to a shaded bike path, a playground, soccer fields, baseball field, and restrooms.

Love walking here. Quiet and so green this Spring. And the path is paved which makes it nice. Bicycles use this path as well.

★★★★★ — Lisa , Jun 2025

This park packs in a lot for its size. There's a baseball diamond and newer playground with a great variety of equipment that even my older kids liked. It has access to a paved path - technically it's a bike path but loads of people walk their dogs or just take a scenic walk through the woods.

★★★★★ — Mindy , Apr 2019

Great park. Restrooms, soccer fields and 2 baseball fields. Also has a walking path that goes around the outer part of the park. Nice a d clean and can be busy in the evenings. Definitely worth checking out. The kids playground is also a hit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 8 mentions

“Full restrooms including family restroom with baby-changing station, drinking fountains, ample parking.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
