Confirmed from Tennessee Riverpark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tennessee Riverpark

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (2,414 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“This is a lovely, clean, park for family and friends to get together.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“The park has a beautiful monument for 5 service men killed in a Chattanooga shooting years ago, also has piers over the water where a lot of people were fishing off of!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The art was beautiful, and the environment was serene and peaceful.”

Very serene. The scenery was just what my family needed. The memorial was beautiful! Beautiful flowers and artwork all around. There was the option to ride bikes, walk the trail, play on the playground, fish, and more. The fact that everything is right on the river makes this so much more enjoyable!

Running, walking, cycling, picnicking, and fishing (pier and boat). The Wreath of Honor is pretty cool. There’s a Navy Reserve Center- Marine Corps here too. I was here because I had a lot of stuff on my mind, and as I expected this is a great place to take a walk and sort it out

I love the Riverwalk. It's great for walking, biking, running, and skating. Every time I go, I discover something new. There are lots of picnic areas, fishing spots, boat launches and most importantly BATHROOMS along the route. It's very well kept.

My wife and I visited this park while we were visiting the area, and it was incredible. We had perfect weather which helped, but the park itself was lovely. The main path runs next to the Tennessee River and beautiful grassy fields, and we enjoyed slowly walking and enjoying the view.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
