Confirmed from Terra Vista Natural Study Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Terra Vista Natural Study Area
“Beautiful little Nature Study area; great hill to build your calf muscles!”
“10/10 would recommend very peaceful I found some old headstones from 1800”
Certainly the park service is aware of the MASSIVE rectangular shaped platform on the eastern edge of the plateau, right? I'm not the first person to process and look at the LiDar data I'm sure.
Lovely little place to hike! Lots of wildlife and an adorable little cemetery. If you want to have a more wild experience, there is a birdwatching trail that splits off the main loop (follow the binocular/leaf markers).
Beautiful little Nature Study area; great hill to build your calf muscles! Trail goes up & splits toward an old, old cemetery with limestone head stones and monuments to the right.
A good place to hike. Saw lots of wild life on the hike, about 15 turkeys, 6 deer and an owl.i like to hike on the valley at the north end of this area. The center section that was the old gravel pit can be very brushy and hard to get thru.
