Confirmed from The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (163 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏃 great for running 7 mentions

“Great for walking, sightseeing, running, skating, biking, etc.”

Nice paved trail. Great for running, biking, walking, etc. As a non-ATL local, it was a great way to get exercise and tour the city without getting lost. The trail access was very close to my hotel and easy to find. Fun time! I explored about 5mi to the south of my hotel past Piedmont Park, Midtown and Ormewood Park.

It was the morning after a big day in the big city and I was still adjusting to the southern heat and humidity. There was only one way to get this over with and get used to the new environment: go out there and sweat it all out.

The Atlanta beltline is a one of a kind! We literally come here almost once a week to get inspiration, photography, and a good peaceful walk. (Almost an hour drive from our house) You never know what you will see, hear, or smell! All your 5 senses will be enlightened here! There is so much to do!

The go to place for biking in the southeast one of the prettiest places with the best views of downtown Atlanta and a great for jogging and walking to and it has access to water fountains bathrooms and king of Pop's stands all along the way

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 6 mentions

“My family mentioned that I’d see the big paved bikeway/walkway just near the bridge, and indeed I found it quickly.”
