Confirmed from Zonolite Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful vista and well paved.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 7 mentions

“Perfect shaded nature trail with a peaceful creek off to the side.”

Zen in the city! I love this trail. We enjoyed a nice stroll along the path into the woods and it runs along a creek with a small little beach area where people bring their dogs or kids to splash around in. I also liked the community garden and there are benches along the trail.

Really nice small park with creek access. It’s not so much like a hiking trail as a walking trail. It’s hard to find where to park - you basically drive behind the businesses on Zonolite Rd.

★★★★☆ — Betsy , Feb 2021

Quiet trail that is easy for kids and fun to explore. The trail appears to be under construction, but is still safe. We are looking forward to see how it grows over the years.

★★★★☆ — Julia , Mar 2021

Nice little nature preserve within the city. Our dog loved playing in the water. So did the kiddos. But for exercise it's a no go. The trail is tiny.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work

  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
