Confirmed from The Bloomingdale Trail - East Trailhead - Ashland Ave - 1600 W's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Bloomingdale Trail - East Trailhead - Ashland Ave - 1600 W

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (32 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Goes to show how places can be repurposed into something beautiful they can be used by all.”

I love walking the trail here. When it’s a nice day out it can get pretty busy! Lots of people biking and roller blading. There are a few spots to stop to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and see the neighborhood. This trail goes through some cute areas and is easy to get on and off of.

The trail is awesome! It's definitely one of the best investments the city has made for the locals of the area. You can walk , run , ride your bike, and walk your dog. The bad side of this is the dumb people who ride motorcycles & people who don't care about being in the middle of the trail talking on the phone.

It was so cool to bike most of the 606. Lots of room for bikes and pedestrians, plenty of benches, some water fountains, views of different Chicago neighborhoods. A really great concept for a safe biking and walking trail in a city. I’d love to see more of these!

Great place to walk, run, bike, skate, and just sit! Highly recommend!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
