What runners say about The Bringle Dam
Good place to hang out and look at a little nature. Local artists have decorated the concrete walkway. This is an easy part of the Bringle Lake Nature Trail. Bringle Lake was built by the City of Texarkana as its water supply.
Nice walk. Careful with dogs over the bridge as the gaps are large enough for their legs to fall through. Lots of painting & graffiti but it’s got character. Trail over dam has lots of (mostly unmarked) intersecting trails, so easy to get “lost” if you were on a mission, but good for wandering.
This area has a small art park. Local artists have decorated the stone walls and pathways leading through Bringle Lake's water outlet. There are also hiking trails circling the lake that connect to the area. The art being on such unique infastructure is pretty interesting to see.
Has a long hiking trail that goes around the lake. Keep pets on a leash for their safety. There is a put in for a boat.
