Confirmed from The Colony Five Star Complex's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Outdoor sports complex for baseball, football & soccer tournaments (at a fee), plus bike/hike path.
What runners say about The Colony Five Star Complex
“The fields are in excellent condition — really well maintained and perfect for both games and practices.”
“May not be such a picnic at the height of summer as the shade can be a bit sparse as is, hoping they may put up some shades as weather grows warmer.”
Nice open park fields- bike/walking trail around complex. Lots of parking (unless you’re there soccer times, or any events, watch for traffic). Bathrooms if you’re desperate (not too clean). Central location in town, near the highway. Could use some freshening up.
Trail conditions & character
“Kids loved the open space, and while parking was a bit crowded there was plenty of it so no worries about no parking available.”
“May not be such a picnic at the height of summer as the shade can be a bit sparse as is, hoping they may put up some shades as weather grows warmer.”
“I especially appreciate that the fields have lights, making night games and late practices possible without any issues.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
